"Seven days from first contact to a new roof."

Raymond and his crew were a pleasure to work with. Raymond came recommended to us by a trusted contractor we have worked with multiple times in the past. I would like to share some additional context on why our experience with Raymond & High Command was so great:

  1. I originally reached out to High Command via their website on 2025/04/28. Within two hours, I received an e-mail from Raymond about setting up a time to meet.
  2. Raymond came out the following day (2025/04/29) and provided us two estimates within an hour of meeting.
  3. On 2025/04/30, I texted Raymond to let him know that we would like to move forward.
  4. He scheduled us for the following Monday, 2025/05/05. His crew showed up on time (maybe even early), and got the entire roof replaced in a single day.

That's seven (7!) days from first contact to having a new roof installed. He initially estimated a day and a half to have it completed, which I also thought was too ambitious.

If you have worked with contractors, you've likely had poor experiences with scheduling and even timeliness. You won't have that with Raymond and crew. I highly recommend him and his team from High Command Roofing!

"He set my mind at ease — and the estimate was less than expected."

Last week my gardener noticed some "tile sludge" in the gutters when cleaning them. I was referred to High Command Roofing by a handyman I use. Within a day of asking I was contacted by Ray and he was able to schedule a roof inspection within a couple of days.

He arrived on time, is very personable and started work immediately. After reviewing all aspects of the roof, he quickly set my mind at ease that the 23 year old roof was still in good condition and had several years of use left before it will need replacing. He did discuss the amount of intake/outtake vents in the roof and recommended adding more outtakes when I do eventually replace the roof.

He even provided an estimate replacement cost for the roof so that I had that knowledge going forward — I have to say it was less than expected. I'm very glad that I had High Command Roofing inspect my roof and set my mind at ease. I would highly recommend him to anyone who has concerns about their roof.

The questions everyone asks before clicking.

? Is the instant quote really free?

Yes — the quote and the inspection both cost $0. No hidden fees, no card required to see your number.

? Will you sell my info or blow up my phone?

No. You control whether we ever contact you. Don't want a call? You won't get one.

? How accurate is an online estimate?

It's a tight range built from roof size, pitch, & the specific Owens Corning Duration Roofing system. The free consultation locks the firm number.

? Are you actually local and licensed?

Licensed & insured in Idaho, with crews based right here. We're your neighbors, not a call center.

Facts & questions

Signs you may need a roof replacement.

Most Treasure Valley roofs tell you long before they leak. Here's what to look for — and what each sign really means.

? How old is my roof — does age alone matter?

Yes. Most asphalt shingle roofs in the Treasure Valley last 20–25 years. If yours is pushing past that, a free inspection beats waiting for the first leak to tell you.

? Are curling, cracked, or missing shingles a big deal?

They're one of the clearest signs. Shingles that cup, crack, or blow off expose the decking underneath — a few scattered ones may just need TLC, but a widespread pattern points to replacement.

? What about dark streaks or granules in my gutters?

Granules are the shingle's sunscreen. Heavy granule loss or bare-looking patches means the shingles are wearing out fast, especially after a rough Idaho winter or hail season.

? There's a water stain on my ceiling — now what?

An active leak means the roof has already lost somewhere. It may be repairable, but repeated stains or stains that grow after each storm usually mean the roof is at the end of its life.

? Can I tell anything from inside the attic?

Yes — look for daylight coming through the boards, damp insulation, or a sagging roofline. Any of those are worth a same-week inspection, not a someday one.

? I keep paying for repairs. When do I stop?

A simple rule: if you've patched the same area twice, or repairs are stacking up year after year, replacement is usually the cheaper roof over the next decade. We'll tell you straight which side you're on.
